Mobilize. Equip. Send

Youth with a Mission Nuremberg is one of many independent locations of the global missions movement known as Youth with a Mission or YWAM (pronounced why-wham) for short. YWAM Nuremberg exists to mobilize, equip, and send out the next generation of world missionaries. We are bringing the gospel to unreached and marginalized peoples.

We are a volunteer based, multi-cultural and multi-denominational missions movement. Our primary mission and emphasis is to “Know God and make Him known.” A big part of this mission is offering Discipleship Training Schools each year where people from all cultures and age groups come together for a six-month period of training to become missionaries.

In the last year, YWAM Nuremberg has registered 10,000 hours of local ministry within Nuremberg. In addition to this YWAM Nuremberg has trained, equipped, and sent out 124 students into the mission world, spending over 34,000 hours of ministry in some of the most remote regions of the world.

All staff members working as volunteers for YWAM live by faith and dependence on God, and as such, the financial support of others is paramount to accomplishing the mission God has given.

Our Mission Focus

The 10/40 Window

There is a place where 3 billion people have yet to hear the message of the gospel, a region that is home to 80% of the world's poorest people, and where only 4% of missionaries are living and working. This is where God has invited us to go, to bring hope, to share the message of the gospel, where we believe transformation is going to take hold!

The 10/40 window is a massive region, stretching from 10 to 40 degrees latitude, and as far as West Africa to East Asia. This is where there is the most need for the Gospel and the most need for people to go.

This is the last frontier of world missions, the same place where missions began nearly 2,000 years ago! We say yes to go to the places others don't or where they are not willing. It's not easy, but God has only been waiting for the next generation to say "yes"!  We invite you to join your 'yes' with ours, to see the Gospel reaching the ears of communities and people groups for the first time in history! For nations, communities, and lives to be transformed by the restoring power of God!

Let's do it! Together. Are you ready?

Youth with a Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.

Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to get youth involved in missions. Today, we still focus on youth, and we also involve people aged 9 to 90. We currently work in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.

One of the joys of participating in YWAM is to work with people from many nations. YWAM’s staff (known as “YWAMers”) come from over 130 countries, including places like Indonesia, Nepal, Mozambique, Colombia, and Germany!
